Industrial wire mesh Door Guards & Screens provide a physical barrier between the components of an Air Handling Unit by screening off a restricted area or to simply keep birds away.
Door Guards and Screens are also used to prevent accidental access to moving parts and to provide safety and security for the machine or operator.
Our wire mesh Door Guards & Screens are manufactured to your specification and are usually manufactured from ½” mesh (12.7 x 12.7 x 1.6mm) in mild steel or stainless steel (304 & 316 Grade).
The open wire mesh design allows for maximum air flow which allows the AHU’s to be able to take in cooler air and circulate.
Mesh Door Guards and Screens offers you clear visibility, so you can visually inspect and area when full access to a room is not needed.
Our mesh Door Guards and Screens are manufactured to your specifications which means they can be any shape or any size. We can also supply guards using 25mm square mesh (1” x 1”) and 50mm square mesh (2” x 2”).

Material Specification
Wire Mesh Door Guards and Screens are usually manufactured from mild steel wire mesh, but we can also manufacture in 304’s or 316 grade stainless steel, which is hard wearing and essential in off shore and medical environments.
We can also offer different sizes of wire mesh to suit your requirements.
Finishes
Black Plastic Coating is our most popular finish but might not be right for your application or environment. Below are a few examples of the different finishes we can offer:
- Powder Coating
- BZP (Bright Zinc Plate)
- JS Coating (for external applications)
- Cleaned & Pickled or Electro Polished (Stainless Steel Only)
Delivery Information
The approximate lead time for our wire mesh Door Guards and Screens depends on your requirements and specification.
Many of our products are entitled to Free Standard Mainland UK Delivery and without any restrictions.
This excludes the following Postcode Areas:- IV, AB, KW, HS, ZE, PA, PH, DD, IM, GY, JE, TR, BT, Isle of Wight, Isle of Anglesey and Eire. These Postcode areas will be subject to an additional charge, please contact us for a quotation before placing your order. If you have placed your order, we will advise you of the delivery cost and send you a Pro Forma Invoice.
Standard Delivery is Monday to Friday between 8am to 6pm and to ground floor / kerbside only unless agreed with AMP Wire Ltd in writing. If there are any delivery restrictions / specific dates / times / dedicated deliveries / above ground floor deliveries, or FORS Registered deliveries, please contact the sales department as there may be an additional cost.
We will deliver using the most economical method, either using our own vehicles or a carrier. Goods may be palletised and delivered on an articulate vehicle. The deliveries are kerb side only so you would need to arrange to unload the vehicle.
Returns Information
As this product is made to order, we are unable to accept returns, unless damaged.
Please check the delivery before signed as AMP Wire Ltd will not accept claims for damaged goods if the goods have been signed for. If an item is damaged upon receipt of delivery, please write “Damaged” on the carrier notes and call or email us within 24 hours (if you can add pictures to your email that would be helpful). Our Carriers will NOT accept claims if you sign for the goods or write “unchecked” etc, so please check before signing.
